Student member Faculty Board

My name is Anne-Marie Koop and I´m a third-year medical science student. Besides that, during this college year of 2010-2011 I will be an advising student member of the faculty board for the first time. This means that I will look after the interests of all students medical science, human movement sciences and dentistry to the dean and other members of the board as well as possible. That means yours as well!

In the weekly meeting for Education and Research I advise the dean about student affairs. The dean, Prof.dr. Kuipers is one of the three members of the Board of directors of the UMCG. Within the Board of directors, the dean is responsible for all things regarding education and research. Therefore, it is important that the dean knows what is going on with the different educations of our faculty. Therefore he has a pro-dean education and a student in the faculty board who advise him in the meeting for Education and Research every week. That student is me.

In order to advise the dean well I attend all ProMove meetings and hold regular contact with the E&R-board and the curriculum coordinator. If something cannot be solved through the JV´s, OCB, ECB or any other channel, you will always have my voice in the board. For may the voice of the student be heard this year!
