My name is Björn Prieske and I am a first-year masterstudent Human Movement Sciences. I am coordinator of the Human Movement Sciences of Education- and Research board, E&R-board. The E&R-board is the highest advisory body within the medical faculty. The E&R-board consists of a student group and a staff group. The student group is formed by seven students of the medical faculty. The student group consists of a chairman and the coordinators of Human Movement Sciences, Medical science, Dentistry, PR and External Affairs, Internationalization and Science. We have a number of rights at our disposal, for example, we have information rights, advice rights, initiative rights and consent authority.
In order to remain well-informed I participate in ProMove, a consultative body, of which I will also be chairman, starting 2010. Furthermore, I am present at the Human Movement Sciences-meeting and seated in the BSA-workgroup.
Human Movement Sciences is double represented in the E&R-board. The chairman, Dieuwke Broekstra, is also student Human Movement Sciences.
The student group meets every Monday. Besides that, once a month we have a meeting with the staff group of the E&R-board and once a month we have a meeting with the Board of directors. During these meetings, current affairs are discussed. When necessary we invite someone with expertise for additional explanation about certain subjects.
In case you have any points of improvement for the courses, you can always go to the Year representation. They will then forward these suggestions to the right persons or Consultative Committee. Do you have any other remarks about the study Human Movement Sciences or questions about the E&R-board in general, don´t hesitate to contact me. You can do this by e-mail:
